Temples from Kampuchea Krom need your support

When I was young. I didn’t understand why my dad, Ta Sam, Poo Lak, Meeng Toi, and many other Khmer Krom elders were pinching and saving every Dong they got for watt (pagoda). Whenever they get together, all they ever talked about was how to raised money to restore or expands old watt; they also talked about building a bigger and newer watt. It seems that was all they were talking about, watt and more watt.... To be honest with you, back then; they were very annoyed to me. :)
Then one day, I saw this flickering light in front of my eyes. Curiously, I followed the light that guides me toward these incomplete tracks. There, I stood, with my soul pondered at what I had seen. My country is torn in half. Our Khmer land getting smaller and our Khmer Krom people are poorer. I saw many my people struggling to survive, and many holding on to the ground, refusing to give up what is OURS. I saw many Khmer Krom heroes lost their lives from trying to protect our land, our people and me.
I realized then how lucky I was to be surrounded by caring and loving people. I told myself that I’d try to do whatever is takes to preserve my heritage; I’ve got to help finish the tracks and spreads the words to all my Khmer Krom living aboard, to be awareness of the situation back home.
I’m calling my Khmer brothers and sisters to please, let's stand with me and please walk with me. Together, lets complete the tracks. We must preserve our Khmer tradition and culture. We must never turn our back from our poor Khmer Krom back home. More than ever our people needed us. Together, we’ll rebuild and restore our Kampuchea Krom land. My dream is to buy back our land and build Khmer pagoda on every block in Kampuchea Krom land. I want to show the world Kampuchea Krom land is OURS. Hopefully, someday, we’ll take it back what belonging to US.I know we can’t move the mountain but we’ll make the difference by working together. I believe WE CAN DO ANYTHING because WE’RE KHMER KROM.
That’s the main reason I’m adding this page. It’s dedicated to all the pagodas that seeking financial helps to restore. If your pagoda needs help please send me the pictures and all the information how the Good Samaritan can contact you. I’ll be more than happy to post it up. Chey Yu Khmer Krom.
May Buddha blesses you and your family!
